Standing Committees -- Stand Alone Hemp Associations
Louisiana Hemp Growers Association
(Hemp Growers Committee)
Our Industry begins with our Hemp Growers, without them, there would be no hemp industry.
Regulated by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry, Growers face different challenges than most of us:
-
Sourcing Quality Seeds
-
Maintaining low THC Content
-
Fighting Mold
-
Dealing with insects
-
Managing Light
-
Weed control
-
In-Field Testing for Potency
-
Harvesting Time
-
And More

Regulated by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry (LDAF), Growers deal with a separate set of rules & regulations than Consumable Hemp Product Manufacturers.
Louisiana Hemp Manufacturers
Association
(Hemp Manufacturers Committee)

LDH is actively involved in the business of our Manufacturers:
-
Approving Manufacturing Facilities
-
Reviewing SOP's for each Product
-
Regularly inspecting facilities
-
Requiring Independent Lab Tests
-
Approving label designs
-
Publishing Approved Products
-
And lot's more

Manufacturer's work together to Voice their Concerns and take steps to develop rules & regs that promote safe products for the consumer.
Louisiana Hemp Distributors Association
(Hemp Distributors Committee
Hemp Distributors play a vital role in our industry. They make products available to Retailers, hold inventory, and service their customers with timely deliveries.

Distributors are subject to regulation by the Louisiana Alcohol Tobacco Control Board (ATC) and are routinely inspected by ATC for product compliance.

Manufacturers, Distributors, and Retailers make a unique triangle of business interactions, each dependent on the other.

Working Together, they deliver safe products to the marketplace in response to consumer demand.
Louisiana Hemp Retailers Association
9Hemp Retailers Committee)
Retailers are the face of the industry with regard to consumers. Compliments & complaints come to our retailers first.

Regulated by the Louisiana Alcohol Tobacco Control Board (ATC), Retailers bear the brunt of enforcement action and are subject to substantial fines.

All consumable hemp products sold by retailers must be on LDH's list. Additionally, retailers have to check ID's, making sure customers are at least 21 years old.

Retailers are the front line of the industry. They must mange sales & merchandising as well as regulatory enforcement.
Louisiana Hemp Advocates Association
(Hemp Advocates Committee)
Hemp Advocates are our customers and are the reason we are in business.

Recognizing the important value of Hemp Products, Advocates are our Consumer Voice on the importance of Keeping Hemp Products available the public.

Advocates know the health benefits associated with Hemp Products and recognize them as Natural Remedies to symptoms of common ailments.

Advocates are the associations cheerleaders in the public. They use the products, they value the products, and they tell their stories of how much hemp products have improved their lives.
Louisiana Hemp Health Advisors Association
(Hemp Health Advisors Committee)
Hemp Health Advisors know how important hemp products are to consumers. They've done the research, they've guided their patients to use hemp products, and they recommend hemp products as an alternative natural remedy.

"Follow the Science" they sometimes say. Our Hemp Health Advisors have been trained to do just that.

Our Hemp Health Advisors, trained as health care providers, educate their patients on hemp products and guide their patients on how & when to turn to a natural remedy.
